Putting Together A Pet Emergency Pack

As a pet parent, I always wonder what I would do if there was ever an emergency and I had to leave home in a hurry. I have emergency packs for myself and my husband, with a few basic supplies in it, but what about Kitty? I have a rough idea of what I would do if I have to leave home but do I have supplies to make sure she is safe on the road with me? The more I thought about this, I realized how important it is to have some pet supplies ready for her.

20180601_102854.jpg

The picture above shows you everything I have for Kitty. All these are packed into my own emergency pack so when it comes time to evacuate, all I need to do is put Kitty in her carrier and grab my own bag.

I wanted to keep it simple so I put together this list for easy reference.

Here are some of the essentials you may want to pack for your own pet.

  • First Aid Kit – This is a must have. You never know when you might need it and this particular kit is designed especially for pets. It comes with all the basic supplies as well as an instruction manual. You can find them online or in pet stores.
  • Freeze dried food and Serving dishes – I like to carry freeze dried food because it is lightweight and you can use it as a treat or just add water to make it into a meal. The silicone dishes are collapsible and easy to carry. I have one each for food and water.

20180601_102601.jpg

  • Plastic bags, Gloves, Litter Scoop – Since I am not carrying litter, I wanted to carry a scoop and some plastic bags so I can dispose of any waste easily. Gloves are always handy to have for any cleaning situation. (PS: You can always carry a collapsible litter box!)

20180601_102513.jpg

  • A lightweight blanket or throw – As you can imagine, being evacuated due to any reason is a stressful time for yourself and your pet therefore it is nice to have a small piece of home with you. Find a blanket or throw that they really like and take it with you. It could also be used as a makeshift pet bed. This minky blanket is really soft and light and it will provide some comfort for Kitty.

20180601_102657.jpg

  • Harness & leash, Pet wipes, Grooming brush and Doggy bag dispenser – It is important to make sure your pet is clean and groomed while you are away from home. I use the wipes to get any dust or dander off her after using the grooming brush.

20180601_102619.jpg

  • Important Information and Toys – It is SO important that you have information related to your pet written down in a separate book. Not only will this come in handy when you are on the road and you need access to this information, but you can also provide them to a friend or family member if you end up having to leave your pet with them. Details such as vet information, microchip, insurance, medication, allergies, emergency contacts etc should all be included here.
You can also carry a few of their favourite toys. I have added some pipe cleaners here as they are one of Kitty’s favourite things to play with!

    20180601_102639.jpg

  • Life jacket, Rain jacket, Sweater – Many people are surprised by the addition of a life jacket to the emergency kit. But I think it is an excellent idea! What would you do if you had to evacuate by boat or had to spend time by the water? The life jacket could save your pet’s life! The sweater and rain jacket are good to have so you are prepared for any kind of weather. Note: make sure your pet fits into these clothes first and that they are comfortable wearing them!

20180601_102208.jpg

Don’t forget to add any medications, supplements, prescription food etc that your pet is currently taking to your emergency pack.

I hope this helps you get started on your own emergency kits and make sure that yourself and your family (pets included!) stay safe!

Edmonton International Cat Festival 2018

20180526_112408.jpg

The Edmonton International Cat Festival is an event I look forward to every year! It’s THE place to be if you are a cat lover! 100% of the proceeds from this event goes towards helping local rescues! What a great cause!

This year’s event was held at the Robbins Health Learning Centre at Grant McEwan University in Edmonton on May 26th 2018. I was lucky enough to meet celebrities such as Nala (the most popular cat on Instagram with 3.6 million followers!) and her adorable sister Luna Rose as well as Travis DesLaurier (model, actor and he works out with his cat, Jacob!) who did meet and greets with fans as well as Q & A sessions.

20180526_120005.jpg

I would like to say that the event was well organized and had many activities such as yoga with cats, cat themed escape room, puzzles, face painting, a pop up cat café to keep everyone of all ages well entertained. There were also tons of vendors selling the most adorable cat themed items as well as several rescue groups with the cutest adoptable cats.

I spent all day at the YEG Cat Fest! I took transit there since driving downtown Edmonton on a Saturday is not ideal (if I could drive that is! LOL) and after checking in, I went to line up for the Nala and Luna meet and greet!

After the meet and greet, I got interviewed by the news station, CityNews Edmonton. (Click here to see the interview segment) Next, it was off to check out the vendors and activities!! Here are some of the vendor tables I looked at!

There were also many rescues with adoptable cats! Check out that awesome cat enclosure!

After spending a few hours here, I stepped out to grab some lunch at Wendy’s (which was right across the street!). There are so many lunch options around this venue but I wanted an inexpensive lunch so I can keep more of my dollars to buy cat stuff! LOL

Once lunch was done, I came back and sat in on some Q & A sessions with Nala’s moms, Shannon and Pookie as well as Q & A with Travis. I ran into Bing Clawsby of Cats of Instagram and managed to snag a photo of him looking so sharp in his purple necktie!

There were cat videos playing throughout the day. I sat in on a very informative session with an AMA travel agent who talked about places that cat lovers need to visit as well as travelling with your cat! Finally, I wanted to stay for the Mr and Mrs Purrfect photo contest where Kitty Mojito was one of the contestants!

All the contestants were cute beyond words!! Finally the winners are announced!

IMG_20180526_162439_792.jpg

AND DRUMROLL!!!!!

IMG_20180526_162439_793.jpg

YAY! Kitty was crowned Mrs. Purrfect 2018! So happy!! She received a certificate as well as a wonderful prize of a Vesper Cubo Tower sponsored by Homes Alive Pets!

I had so much fun at the Edmonton International Cat Festival. If you are a cat lover, you need to check this out next year. You can pre purchase tickets ahead of time (it’s a few dollars cheaper if you do!) or you can buy them at the door. Just follow them on Instagram @yegcatfest to keep up on the details for next year’s event!

A huge thanks to the founder and organizer, Linda Hoang and her team as well as volunteers, sponsors, vendors, celebrity guests and everyone else who had a hand in making this event a huge success.  A total of $21,000 was raised and donated between this year’s recipients, The Edmonton Humane Society, Little Cats Lost and Zoe’s Animal Rescue!

Review – Catit Senses 2.0 Food Tree

My reason for looking into the Catit Sense 2.0 Food Tree started when Kitty Mojito started to throw up her food sometime last year.

We tried everything from changing her food to giving her smaller portions but the throwing up continued. After vets visits and extensive testing, we came to the conclusion that there was nothing physically wrong with her! She was just eating too fast and not really chewing her food well enough for it to digest (P.S her throw up would just be chunks of undigested dry food!)

Anyway, we finally resorted to the fact that we need to rethink her food situation. We switched to a smaller sized kibble especially designed for sensitive stomach issues from Halo Natural Dry Cat Food, Sensitive Stomach Seafood Medley, 6-Pound Bag and we added a great supplement from NHV Natural Pets. Just a side note, these supplements are wonderful to add to your kitties wet food (or just drop it directly into their mouth) for overall well being!

We researched and found that it is best to give her the opportunity to ‘hunt’ for her food. Not only does it help her practice her hunting instincts, it greatly aids in slowing down her eating.

The Catit Food Tree is very easy to set up. It literally just clicks into place. This makes cleaning up really easy as well since you can just pop out the sections and give it a good rinse.

The idea is to get the cat to paw at the kibble in the different levels and get it down to the wide base where they can eat it. I really liked the fact that the base was nice and wide which help reduce whisker stress for the kitties.

When I set this up for Kitty Mojito, she was a bit hesitant at first. She would sit by it and stare at it. She knew the kibble was in there but I think she was expecting me to get it for her LOL.

20171104_091322.jpg

I must admit that she did try to climb on to it and then tip it to get more food out but eventually learnt that she has to put her paw in and actually work to get the food out. Now she is a pro and just goes in there and gets what she needs.

What I love about this is that the sections are not too wide which prevents the cats from sticking their whole heads in there! I have caught Kitty trying to put her face in there with her tongue sticking out, trying to lick at the kibble (epic fail!). But it is not wide enough for that so you wouldn’t have to worry about that happening. All you need to do is to put their regular serving of dry food on to the top section and let your kitty get it down to the base (remember, this is for DRY FOOD ONLY!)

I am very pleased to say that her throwing up has greatly reduced since we started using this food tree. If you have a cat that gorges on food and eats too fast, I HIGHLY recommend giving this a try. It is definitely worth it.

Feel free to leave your comments and let me know what you do to help your kitties stay happy and healthy.

  • Setting Realistic Expectations

Just like people, you cannot force pets to like each other. Although there is no way to predict whether or not your pets will learn to like each other, it is important to set them up for success by choosing a cat(s) with a similar personality and activity level to your current pet.

Take your time and don’t throw your pets together hoping they will just work it out. That is a recipe for disaster. Understanding that this will take time and patience will keep you from pulling out your own hair! It could take days, weeks or sometimes even months so be prepared.

  • Good First Impressions

Cats are territorial and most often do not like to share. Your resident cat may show annoyance and displeasure about the newbie by acting out, like fighting with the other pet or by marking the territory like peeing on the floor etc.

Cats are generally not too fond of change so give your new pet time to adjust to you and the new surrounding. Keeping them separate in a room with their litter, food, water and toys for several days will help them feel a bit more at ease.

Here are some handy tips to help make the introductions go a bit smoother for everyone.

  • Once you have the new pet set up in a separate room, feed the resident pet and the new pet on each side of the closed door so that they get used to each other’s smell.
  • Don’t put the food so close to the door that the animals are too upset by each other’s presence to eat.
  • Gradually move the dishes closer to the door until your pets can eat calmly while standing directly on either side of the door.
  • Getting some toys involved is a great idea! Tie a toy to each end of a string, then place it so there’s a toy on either side of the door. Hopefully, they’ll start batting the toys around and maybe even batting paws.
  • Make sure you spend plenty of time with your new kitty in their room as well as your resident cat.
  • Get your pets used to each other’s scent before they meet face to face. Swap blankets or any other individual items so the scents will be familiar.
  • Once your new kitty is eating regularly and using the litter box, let them free roam around your space while the resident pet stays in the new kitty’s room. It is recommended that you introduce the new cat to a room or two at a time.
  • One of the most important things to remember is that you are home to supervise! If you have to leave, put the new kitty back in their room.
  • Next, after you’ve returned the cats to their designated parts of the house, use two doorstops to prop open the dividing door just enough to allow the animals to see each other.
  • Repeat the whole process over a period of days (or weeks!)—supervised, of course.
  • Have your cats examined by your vet before introductions to make sure they are all healthy.
  • Have one litter box per cat plus an extra one.
  • Try to keep your resident pets’ routine as close to what it was before the newcomer’s arrival.
  • Make sure all cats have a “safe” place to escape to.What do pet parents have to say?

Cassie (cat mom of 3)

One of the most important parts of introducing cats together is knowing their personalities. I knew when I saw Sofia that she had the same personality as Earl. So it’s more important to match the cats than go out and choose a cat just because you like the breed.

Diana (cat mom of 4)

Slow and gradual! Baby gates are a must. Try introductions around mealtime, the food is a good distraction. And make it special treats!

Jess (cat mom of 2)

Use a soft washcloth, blanket, towel or sock to help them acquaint their scents. Let one use it and then give it to the other. This will help reduce anxiety and make introductions smoother.

Elizabeth (cat mom of 2)

Use scent as the first form on introduction. If possible, swap rooms for an hour or two so that they can roam each other’s space without fear of attack! Feeding them on opposite sides of a closed door, then an open door with a gate and eventually removing all barriers only once the cats are calm enough to be around one another. Patience is key and calmness is mandatory. Some negative behaviour may be exhibited like hissing but if a full on fight presents itself, start the steps again.

As with everything, time will make things better. So don’t be alarmed or disheartened if your cats don’t seem to like each other. They will learn to like (or tolerate!) each other. It will happen, sometimes sooner than later. Just don’t lose hope or take out your frustrations on the pets. Remember that this is a huge change for all pets involved so your reactions will help set the tone in your home.

Katdid Konversation With Rory

Today we are chatting with an adventurous 3 year old from Nelsonia, VA.

Please say hello to Rory!

This is Katdid Konversations and I am your host, Kitty Mojito!

2017-10-15_16.36.34
KM: Welcome to the show Rory! Shall we start by talking about how you came to find your human?

R: Her boyfriend found me in the ditch by her house. I almost went to a cat rescue, but the last week, I cuddled her 24/7 and she kept me!😸😻

KM: Yay! So glad she did! Describe a day in your life.

R: Usually starts with me singing the song of my people for breakfast. After that, a short cuddle session before mom leaves for what feels like forever. Finally she comes back to feed me and worship me the rest of the night.

KM: Sounds like you have her wrapped around your little paw! What is your most favourite kind of food?

R: I LOVE ALL FOOD! I really love peanut butter too!

2017-11-25_19.38.55
KM: I have never had peanut butter…. Maybe I should try some! If you had to choose one toy to play with, what would that be?

R: I have so many toys, but probably my west paw fuzzy caterpillar toy or my Jackson galaxy wand toy!

KM: Rory, you are known to wear some pretty fashionable clothing. You are, after all, a meowdel for Crazy Cat Lady Corner and several other clothing lines! Do you have a specific sense of style?

R: Everything looks good on me!😉

IMG_20170908_214437_861
KM: Haha! They sure do! You wear them all so well! What are your thoughts on dogs and other animals?

R: I don’t mind most dogs unless they are too pushy. I did eat my mom’s gerbil so don’t leave me unattended with the small furry toys.

KM: OMG! you ate her gerbil???? Oh no! I don’t know how to react to that!!! If you could make one wish, what would it be?

R: For every kitty to have a loving home and be treated like the royalty they are!

KM: I wish the same! What do you do to relax and chill out?

R: Cuddle time

IMG_20171003_200848_072
KM: Do you have any special skills?

R: I do some tricks and I walk on a leash purrfectly.

KM: Oh you must show me some of those tricks sometimes! What do you value most in life?

R: Food and my mom.

KM: What is your opinion about social media?

R: I love making new friends and seeing all the magnificent cats in the world.

KM: Do you have a special someone in your life? If so, please tell us a bit about them.

R: Nope, don’t have time with my meowdeling career.

KM: What? A handsome cat like you is single?? If you were to go on a date, what would a perfect day/night look like?

R: Anywhere with all you can eat treats and lots of wand toys!

IMG_20171021_211904_341
KM: Wouldn’t that be just perfect! What would you like to accomplish in the near future?

R: Make it to 1k followers on my IG.

KM: Oh I bet that will happen in no time. You are so awesome! Do you have anything else you would like to say?

R: Thanks for interviewing me! I love everything I get from Crazy Cat Lady Corner!!!

KM: You are most welcome! It was so much fun chatting with you! We are so happy to have you as part of the Crazy Cat Lady Corner meowdelling family!

Cleaning Stainless Steel Pet Food Dishes

There is nothing more frustrating that trying to clean hot water and calcium buildup off any stainless steel products. It is even more annoying when that item is something your pet uses every and you try your best to keep it in drink-worthy condition!

Fear not pet lovers! I have found a safe and effective solution that is guaranteed to clean all stainless steel pet dishes safely and effectively. Not only does this ‘magic solution’ get rid of the hot water buildup, it also makes it shiny and beautiful 🙂

What is this magic solution you may ask?

……………………………….. IT

……………………………. IS

……………………….

…………………..

………….VINEGAR!!!

Yes! Good ol’ white vinegar is all you need to keep those pesky buildups away for good.

As a pet blogger, I get asked numerous times about the best type of materials to use as pet food and water dishes. My first choice is always ceramic however if you can find a good quality stainless steel product and can commit to keeping it clean, it is also a good option. Plastic is a BIG NO NO!

You don’t necessarily have to go to the pet store to buy food bowls. I have found wonderful dishes at stores like Home Sense and Marshalls.

I would like to use those post to share with readers that it is not hard to keep your pet’s food dishes clean and safe. One of the first things you should do before you open that can of cat food is to give the dish a good scrub with hot water. You will be surprised as to how quickly bacteria can build up on dishes with old, leftover food sitting on it. Would you eat out of a plate that had yesterday’s food still stuck on it?

It is not just enough to feed your pet good quality food but it is even more important to pay attention to how you store that food and what you use to feed it on.

Ok, back to the stainless steel water bowl…… This particular bowl is the Pioneer Pet Stainless Steel Fountain Raindrop Design , 60oz. You can purchase it on Amazon (links below).

Here you can see the buildup that has already formed on top of this water fountain (the white stuff!!) One time, I had really crusty white buildup which required a lot of soaking in vinegar!

First you remove the filter and take apart the fountain (minus the wall plug in! – DO NOT PUT THAT IN WATER!). Next, fill the sink with hot water, add about 2 cups on plain white vinegar and soak all the pieces in it, including the plastic insert which holds the motor).

20180203_094930.jpg

Ideally, you would let this soak for a few hours. The more you let is soak, the easier it is to scrub away the buildup. Once the soaking is done, take a scrubbie or washcloth and give it all the good scrub down. Use an old toothbrush and a Q-Tip to get into those hard to reach corners!

Once you have gotten all the gunk out and rinsed everything, drain out the vinegar water and fill up the sink again with cold water. Add everything back in and let it soak again. This is to ensure there is no left over vinegar lurking around. While household vinegar is not harmful to animals, they are not overly fond of the taste of it in their water!

Voila! Now you have a extra clean water fountain with no buildup, ready to be used! (extra bonus is that your sink gets a good clean too!)

20180203_101947.jpg

PS: We are big fans of this water fountain as it circulates the water really well and Kitty Mojito drinks so much water now than before when she just had a water bowl.

How to you keep your pet’s food bowls clean? Share your thoughts in the comments!

Review – Katsville Kats Catnip Cat Toys

I had the pleasure of learning about Katsville Kats a few weeks ago via Instagram.

This is a Canadian company based in Maple Ridge, British Columbia and they focus on making catnip toys from upcycled denim, filled with organic and locally grown catnip.

Here is a bit about how Katsville Kats’ came to be from the owner, Cathy Chambers.

My family and I have always loved animals. We have a special affinity for cats. I have 3 cats who love to play. The cat kicker toys are especially popular amongst them. However, the toys from the store would be shredded in a day. An idea manifested in my head in wanting to combine my cats’ need for play and my desire to do something good for the environment.

I really love upcycling, recycling and looking after the environment. So I designed cat toys made with sturdy upcycled denim and filled with organically and locally grown dried catnip. My designs have been cat tested and cat approved!

Cathy was kind enough to send over some toys to be tested by our resident product tester, Kitty Mojito.

This is the Cat Kicker Toy. Immediately, I was very impressed by the size and the sturdiness of it. Kitty was able to bunny kick the life out of it and it held it’s shape really well. Of course, we had hours of play with the “danglies” at the end.

20180131_194508

The next toy we tried out is called the ‘Bermuda Flannel Triangle’. It is definitely a good size for a triangle toy and is softer than the kicker toy. While it is too small for bunny kicks, it is great for throwing around and I think smaller cats will really enjoy kicking it about.

20180131_194604

What I found most impressive about these toys is the fact that they are very well made. As you know, cats can be quite aggressive in their playtime and most store bought toys don’t survive the clawing, kicking and ripping that the toys are put through. The fact that it is made with upcycled denim (hooray for reusing products and saving them from heading to the landfills!) is a huge plus. I am all for supporting small businesses that go the extra mile by making sure their products are eco- friendly and/or use their platforms to make the world a better place in some way.

20180202_194103

Of course, the most important feedback comes from the tester herself! As you can see, she wasted no time attacking the toy and ended up playing with it for a long time. She enjoys a lot of bunny kicking so this was perfect for her.

20180202_194054

20180202_194037

She was more drawn to the kicker toy than the triangle which I assume was due to the size of it.

I would definitely recommend these toys for anyone looking for quality catnip kickers for their feline friends. Don’t forget to leave me a comment and let me know what your cats favourite toys are!

Review – Petsfit Comfort Carrier Backpack

I am very excited to review this new backpack that I got for Kitty Mojito recently.

Kitty Mojito is adventurous and likes to spend time outdoors. Even though she walks on a leash, sometimes I need to put her in her carrier to transport her to various places such as the vet, pet shop or the park. A good carrier is a must have in any pet household!

As someone with neck and shoulder issues, the traditional carrier puts a lot of strain on my body. The carrying handle on regular carriers are usually fairly thin and when you add a 10 pound cat to the mix, it just really does some damage to my already delicate neck and shoulders. I have tried out many carriers and finally learnt about this Petsfit carrier from a friend who takes her very adventurous kitty on hikes and trails! (Thanks Jude!)

Let me first tell you about what the product description says on Amazon.

1. Thick padded straps makes it easier to carry.

2. Features mesh window for safety, ventilation and visibility, sturdy adjustable shoulder straps and comfort grip handle.

3. A waist strap and a chest strap make it easier to carry.

4. Removable and machine washable pad.

5. Front and top entrance.

6. Soft fleece mat is comfortable for pets.

As you can see from the pictures above, there are two flaps, one on top and one in the front. This keeps the air flowing through the carrier to keep your pet comfortable.

One of my favourite aspects of this carrier is the fact that it is really roomy inside. Kitty was able to comfortably move around and lay down inside. This is a really important thing to keep in mind as you want your pet to be able to move freely and not feel constricted.

Resized_20180109_170614

You can also attach a harness inside the carrier for added safety. I made it extra comfortable by adding a small blanket on top of the fleece mat that comes with the carrier.

Now on to the real test….. many people who saw my posts and videos on Instagram asked me how comfortable it is to carry this around. Even though I was skeptical at first, I was really impressed by how easy it was to carry Kitty around in it. The padded shoulder straps were very comfortable and didn’t put any strain on me. The chest and waist strap kept the carrier from bouncing around on my back.

We took Kitty along some snowy trails and she really enjoyed chilling out inside the carrier when she wasn’t out walking around. I could tell she felt safe and cozy. Even though she meowed a little bit at the beginning, she got comfortable enough on our walk and eventually just stretched out and enjoyed the view 🙂

Resized_20180120_134847

Not sure if you can spot Kitty inside! (PS the green silicone bowl does NOT come with the carrier!)

We spend a good hour or so walking around and I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t end up with a sore neck and shoulders!

To end this review, I give this carrier a big THUMBS UP! Not only is it a great option for everyone who has a pet who weighs less than 15 pounds, it is the only carrier I have found so far that doesn’t give me severe neck and shoulder pains after carrying it!

It is sturdy and provides great support. Most importantly, it is the most comfortable carrier for Kitty Mojito!

Katdid Konversation With Olivia

We have a wonderful guest here at Katdid Konversations today!

Say hello to a sweet and beautiful kitty from La Jolla California.. This is Olivia!

Screenshot_20180127-193618

KM: It is so lovely to have you here with me, Olivia! We have become great friends so I am so excited to find out more about you! Can you tell me how you came to find your human?

O: My Meowmy came into the shelter one day after my dearly departed brother, Tyler passed over the 🌈  rainbow bridge. I was hiding in the back of my cage, on the top row of cages and as soon as Meowmy and I locked eyes, I crept Furward and she opened the cage and picked me up and I felt love and security that I had never felt beFUR.

KM: That is so wonderful! Describe a day in your life.

O: I sleep in Meowmy’s bed all night. We wake up and I get breakfast. Next, I walk around my home, looking for sun spots and then I take a nap. The rest of my day is spent resting and waiting for Meowmy to return. I look at the birds and hummingbirds outside. I also work  with my Pawtner Nugget at the Meow Matchmaking Service! We started this company together and are very proud to match kitties looking for l♥️ve with each other! We even made the cover of Forbes magazine! Please see our prior posts on Instagram! When Meowmy comes home, I must sit on her lap for awhile because I’ve missed her so much and I still suffer from abandonment issues. I get my dinner and play with Meowmy before bed.

KM: Sounds like you have your routine down to a T! What is your most favourite kind of food?

O: I’ve gotten very picky lately, so I’ll have to get back to you on that!

KM: Fair enough! I am fairly picky myself so I hear ya, sister! If you had to choose one toy to play with, what would that be?

O: I do love my catnip toys that my friends in Europe sent me! I think they have special catnip there!

KM: Hmm, they must! I got a gift from Germany and I love that toy so much! Do you have a specific sense of style?

O: As Coco Chanel said, “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance”. Therefore, I believe in keeping my fur coat soft and conditioned and my only accessory is a collar with a jewel hanging from it. To date, I have 14 collars that I wear. I have my own jewelry box for them. They are insured by Lloyd’s of London.

KM: Oh you are such a stylish girl. You look beautiful in everything you wear! What are your thoughts on dogs and other animals?

O: I absolutely love and treasure all of my Instagram furry friends, however in real life, I am not a fan. My time in the shelter scared me and it was so noisy! I never had any privacy. Besides we all know that dogs drool and cats RULE!

KM: Haha! Truer words were never spoken! If you could make one wish, what would it be?

O: I wish that all creatures were as lucky and blessed as I am.

KM: So Liv, when you are not running a business and being a style icon, what do you do to relax and chill out?

O: I get massages from Meowmy. I love being groomed and brushed. I also love cuddling with my BF Usko in front of the fireplace and watching Catflix.

KM: Yes, Catflix has some great programs for sure. Do you have any special skills?

O: Werking the 📷?

KM: Well, you are doing a great job! What do you value most in life?

O: ♥️ ….. Love is all you need!

KM: What is your opinion about social media?

O: I love that my Meowmy and I have made furry friends from all over the world! We are blessed to know that there are so many kind, beautiful 2 and 4 legged friends out there.

KM: Do you have a special someone in your life?

O: My Usko (@usko_the_cat on Instagram). He is the most wonderful BF ever! He is handsome, kind, loving and intelligent! He is my everything and my Furrever Valentine.

KM: You two are just so adorable and make the purrfect couple! If you were to go on a date, what would a perfect day/night look like?

O: I enjoy just spending time with my Usko. We like to watch meowvies in front of the fireplace and sip 🐟🍸 (tunatinis) while snacking on 🍱 (sushi). We believe that time spent with loved ones is the meowst important thing.

KM: What would you like to accomplish in the near future?

O: I have already written my memoir and am now working on a story about the l♥️ve my Usko and I have for each other.  My Usko is so talented with his paws and is illustrating our book.

KM: That is so exciting! I can’t wait to read it! Do you have anything else you would like to say?

O: I would like to thank you for your furry friendship! You are a beautiful, furry friend on the outside and even more beautiful on the inside where it really matters. I believe that humans could learn a lot about how to treat each other from the way we interact on Instagram!  Us kitties are always supportive of one another, we celebrate our successes and share in our sadness. We invite everyone to our pawties and remember one another’s birthdays and Adoptoversaries.  Also, Adopt Don’t Shop! Let L♥️VE Rule!

KM: You are too sweet my furriend! Thank you for the kind words! I wish you the best in all your fabulous endevours!! Kitty kisses to you!! Thanks for the chat!
