WHARF helps needy and homeless pets find shelter, love and rehabilitation until a permanent home comes around.

The Hervey Foundation for Cats was the recipient of this fabulous gift box!
It was picked up today by their volunteer Heather!
I was able to add some great extras such as a water fountain, a scratching post, a litter box and mat and some food dishes along with the food and treats generously donated by A Pet’s Pantry Society.
Also a huge thanks to Pet Planet Windermere for the donation of dry food samples, wet canned food and some good ol’catnip 🙂
The Hervey Foundation is a place of refuge for cats who otherwise would perish: the abandoned, the abused, the sick, the old, the suffering.

Today I put together the second gift box to be given to Paws in Need Animal Rescue.
This box contains some much needed food, toys and treats for both cats and dogs as well as a few supplies such as collars, litter scoops and a crate mat.

I am so thrilled to give the first holiday gift box to Through Your Pet’s Eyes Animal Rescue.
This box was full of dog and cat food, treats, toys and some supplies such as leashes and collars as well as a really awesome pet bed.

Super excited to share some wonderful news about my upcoming Holiday Fundraiser!!
I have decided to make up to 10 gift boxes full of pet food, toys and treats as well as possibly adding a gift certificate to each one.
I have been in touch with several pet stores (to request some gift certificates or gift bags) and have gotten a definite YES from my local Pet Planet Winderemere and they will be providing me with some sample packs to add to the boxes!!!
I have also partnered up with ‘A Pet’s Pantry Society’, our local Pet Food Bank who have generously offered me all the pet food and treats I would need!
A Pet’s Pantry Society is a non-profit organization located in southwest Edmonton. Their mission is to facilitate partnerships with rescues to grow the community. By working with local rescues, their goal is to ease the burden created due to a lack of resources so that more funding can be directed to critical medical care.

I am ticking things off my checklist as I work towards making this a success.
I still have a few more things to gather (ex: large boxes, gift wrap and a few more supplies like litter, scoops and puppy pads) and I am hoping to have things ready by the end of this month and start putting together these boxes in December.
The rescues I have contacted are very excited and I hope to post some pictures as they come and get their gifts:)

Hey everyone
I am happy to say that I have raised almost $100 for Matty’s Place Cat Sanctuary!!! Thank you to everyone who made this possible!! I will be presenting this to them soon and I will try to get a photo:)
I am continuing my fundraising efforts in order to help out my November Rescue of the Month ‘ Last Chance Cat Ranch’.
I still have many more pendants and bags($3 each) for sale so please help me get the word out and let’s raise some money for them!
As we slowly move into the holiday season, I wanted to take a minute to brainstorm ideas on some great ways to include some of my local rescues into the festivities.
I would love to have another fundraiser however I thought that it would only be fair that I do something on a smaller scale so I can reach out and help more rescues.
So I came up with this idea!
I am thinking about putting together a small gift pack for each rescue.
This may include some cat toys, treats, food certificates etc
I will be reaching out to some local pet stores to see if they might be interested in providing a gift certificate.
I think this would be a wonderful idea! It is time to let all those hard working rescues know that we haven’t forgotten them and their fur babies during this busy holiday season…

All your support means the world to these rescues. Most of them do not receive any funding and are operated by volunteers, solely relying on donations!
Every dollar I can raise for them will be well worth the effort!!!!
